So I normally don't recommend anything before I've had a chance to experience it for myself, but I think this has to be an exception. The Oxford Companion to Beer (Hardcover), written by Garrett Oliver of Brooklyn Brewery is sure to be a detailed guide to all things beer. If you've never heard of Mr. Oliver, he is probably one of the most famous brewers in our country, judges for Great American Beer Fest (and probably many others) and churns out some mighty fine beer for Brooklyn. If you have a capable device or computer, you can also order the Kindle Edition of The Oxford Companion to Beer, which should be available on October 7th.
I prefer my kindle, so I will be pre-ordering this for 10/7 and once I've had a chance to read it, I will definitely post my thoughts.
